Unusual, 1800’s Hand Thrown Antique, Primitive Milk – Cream Crock with Pour Handle. Stamped “2” Two Gallon. Beautiful Chocolate Brown Slip with Salt Glaze with soft “purple” hints in the sunshine. Albany Glaze interior made (and makes) cleaning a snap. AS MADE CONDITION – no chips, nicks, hairlines or repairs. The handle applied hand is really nicely done. Please see the close-ups. Oh, for character it has a small rock stuck in the side that the potter just left in! You would never see that in a molded or modern piece! I also love the variations in the glaze and slip you see in these 1800’s pieces. You just can’t find these unusual crocks in thius kind of condition! Measures: 12″ Tall x 9″ Widest x 8 1/4 Base.
