Pictured is an uncommonly decorated salt glazed stoneware preserve jar or canner. The container is highlighted with a dark brown glaze band near the base measuring 5/8 wide, along with the underside. It has a great ovoid shape & form dating it to 1860 – 1885. It measures 8 1/2″ in height & 4 1/4″ in base diameter. Amazingly, it’s in excellent condition with no nicks, damage or repairs. The jar was obviously fired. Upside-down such that the excess glaze runs upwards. This item is in the category “Antiques\Primitives”. The seller is “tebfam044″ and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
