Small Blue Decorated Stenciled Rose/Rose Bud Stoneware Jar Salt Glaze OH/PA
Pictured is a small blue decorated stoneware storage jar available for sale. The jar is stenciled with a large blossoming rose & two rose buds. It has a modest embossed string line near the shoulder & a pinched neck. Approximately one & a half quart in size, it measures 7 5/8 in height & dates from 1870 – 1895. It’s in excellent condition with no nicks, damage or repairs whatsoever, a clean example. As seen, there are two inmanufacture kiln burns, front side & side.
