This is a mid 1800’s STRIPER Canner Crock or Jar from Western PA. It is large for a canner jar, and measures 8 inches tall, 5 inches across the bottom, and 4 1/4 inches across the top rim. It has 4 Dark Cobalt Stripes. And a nice deep incised ring below the top rim and top stripe. There are several small flakes inside the rounded top lip (See Photos). Otherwise no cracks, hairlines, or chips. Kiln “kisses” and deposits from firing (See Photos). Photos are from all angles to show condition.
