Rare Vintage Antique Wemyss 9 Scottish Pottery China Pig Money Box Piggy Bank

No markings but believed to be Scottish and very much in the style of Wemyss Ware. Although there is crazing to the glaze, the pig is in good condition with no cracks or chips. There are a couple of small raised areas on one hind quarter which would appear to be a fault in the glaze, together with a number of pinholes. The red painted mouth is slightly smudged. These small faults lead me to wonder if this could be the reason the pig is unmarked, but this is pure conjecture. Measures approx 9″ long and 5″ tall.
