Previous owner said it was very old but no history given. Nice little piece in globular lotus bud form. In solid fine condition. The glaze is reasonably thickly applied and thinner nearer the rim with a glazed foot and base. The piece is identified by. A single small copper red spot on the exterior. The bubble formation is quite erratic with various bubble sizes and the tone is a mid light blue and lighter nearer the base where the bubbles are larger. The piece overall has the quality and look consistent with some of the great early pieces and is one of the nicest looking little pieces I have had. There are some small glaze contraction spots. A few minor surface marks/light scuffs, some general age related crazing to the glaze and a couple of hairline cracks but remains sturdy and well intact. A good opportunity for a superbly displayable piece. Please see my other items. Easures approximately 3.5 in height. Please study photographs for exact condition, I have described conditions colours and measurements as accurately as possible and photographed in suitable light to reproduce the best match to the actual colours. All ages are guides, are as advised or estimates and priced to reflect this so please understand as naturally I cannot pinpoint precise ages. Please see my other items for similar listings and please keep an eye out as I will have many more oriental items and other antiques for sale in the near future. Many thanks for looking x.
