Antique stoneware jug, with beautiful, drippy glaze. There is a tight hairline on one side and a chip on the shoulder – both shown. T his jug was acquired in SW Wisconsin, near the Illinois border. Measures 10 1/2″ tall x 6″ across the bottom.

This is an original antique (19th century) 2 gallon stoneware jar with salt glaze on the outside, Albany slip glaze on the inside, and bold cobalt marking on the front. The jar is simply stunning and in mint condition other than some soiling and residue to the surface (patina) that has built up over time.
