This Pitcher is over 100 years old. There is a chip on the bottom outer edge at the base under the handle. Hand thrown Pottery and hand painted. Very unusual to find one that has only brown sponged paint and not brown and blue.

The crock has the rarer circular maker’s mark. Overall the crock displays really well. The only things I noticed is there is stain run at the rim of the crock, and one little flake off the top layer, towards the back of the crock.

This is a wonderful & rare antique collectible piece that dates to the late 1800’s. It’s a rare blue and grey stoneware crock batter bowl with the pouring spout on the front. It is unmarked by maker but we think it may have been made by the R. Grier pottery out of Chester County, Pennsylvania.
