The crock has the rarer circular maker’s mark. Overall the crock displays really well. The only things I noticed is there is stain run at the rim of the crock, and one little flake off the top layer, towards the back of the crock.

This is a wonderful & rare antique collectible piece that dates to the late 1800’s. It’s a rare blue and grey stoneware crock batter bowl with the pouring spout on the front. It is unmarked by maker but we think it may have been made by the R. Grier pottery out of Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Here is a beautiful large late 1800’s stoneware sponged blue & white mixing bowl. It has a kiln crack from the rim extending down the inside of the bowl, but not evident on the outside of the bowl. Notice the slightly wave to the rim in the first photo as well, also a factory flaw.
