For sale is a Rare! Antique 19th C Salt glazed Stoneware Mug with hand painted Cobalt Blue bands and molded pattern of fine netting and ropes. The Applied handle is also fully painted in blue. Interesting barrel like body form.

The crock has the rarer circular maker’s mark. Overall the crock displays really well. The only things I noticed is there is stain run at the rim of the crock, and one little flake off the top layer, towards the back of the crock.

This is a wonderful & rare antique collectible piece that dates to the late 1800’s. It’s a rare blue and grey stoneware crock batter bowl with the pouring spout on the front. It is unmarked by maker but we think it may have been made by the R. Grier pottery out of Chester County, Pennsylvania.
