This is an original antique (19th century) 2 gallon stoneware jar with salt glaze on the outside, Albany slip glaze on the inside, and bold cobalt marking on the front. The jar is simply stunning and in mint condition other than some soiling and residue to the surface (patina) that has built up over time.
