Antique British Mortlake Brown Saltglaze Stoneware Silver Mounted Jug Circa 1810 Nice antique British Mortlake brown and tan saltglaze stoneware jug with horizontal robbing around the neck and spout. Sprigs of trees, Toby, man smoking a pipe and a windmill above hunt sprigs. Silver mount and lid with a date letter for 1810, hallmark for London, and rampant lion. Hallmark is possibly IR for John Reily, but both hallmarks for the maker are rubbed. Has some dents and tarnish to the silver lid and rim, and the thumblift is bent and misshapen, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 5 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 7 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
