Pictured is an early brown Albany slip glazed jardiniere by Brush McCoy Pottery in southeastern Ohio. The uncommon embossed pattern is known as “Peacocks at the Fountain”. Two peacocks are aside the fountain in the center. The pattern is repeated on the reverse side. The jardiniere measures 6″ in height, 7 1/2″ in diameter, & dates from 1905 – 1925. It’s in excellent condition with no nicks, damage or repairs whatsoever. Any light or grey areas seen are due to the flash. The jardiniere is super clean with no stains or calcification as well. Note: A pedestal base does not exist for the brown peacock jardiniere. It is a stand-alone centerpiece.
