3 Antique 6 Stoneware Jugs. The beehive shape of 2 of the jugs is similar to the early Milwaukee Charles Hermann pieces from the 1850’s-1860’s. One beehive jug is covered with an extremely dark brown, matte Albany slip glaze, almost black (also indicative of the Hermann pieces). It measures 5 3/4″ Tall by 4 1/2″ in Diameter. The other beehive jug is a dark caramel color and ir measures 6″ Tall by 4 3/4″ in Diameter. The third jug is a deep brown antique stoneware wide mouth finger jug / crock. It measures 6″ Tall by 5″ in Diameter. The dark matte beehive jug has some loss at the upper rim of the jug, but to me, it appears to have happened before the glaze was applied. I have included pictures so that you could decide that for yourself. I do not feel that this takes away from the beauty or charm of this jug at all! I just wanted to be sure to point this out. These are all perfect size to display on a book or decorative shelf! The beehive jugs would make beautiful bookends or as stand-alone pieces! The wide mouth jug would look absolutely lovely as a centerpiece with a beautiful floral arrangement! What a fantastic gift for the collector! Please see photos for visual description and for proof of current condition. Any condition statement given is a personal opinion. I research every item and describe items to the best of my ability. I encourage potential buyers to also research my items, especially if they feel there is any question of accuracy in my listing. I always refer to viewing pictures for the best description. Thank You for stopping by to look! Feel free to stay a while and browse the many other items I have available to make their way to you!
