Pictured is an early salt glazed stoneware cuspidor available for sale. The interior is overglazed in brown Albany. Slip glaze & the body has two incised blue decorative bands. It measures 4 1/2″ in height, 8 5/8″ in base diameter. & dates from 1870 – 1895. It’s in very good condition with two small chips to the inner rim & three shallow flakes at. The corner of the base. There is an exceedingly fine hairline near the edge of the brown Albany glaze, see pics. I’ve posted a picture of the underside of the cuspidor as well.
