(2) 1800’s SAMUEL BELL Antique STRASBURG VIRGINIA Primitive STONEWARE CROCK Jar. This listing is for an almost identical pair of antique c1800’s stoneware crock jars. Each is impressed near the rim: S. BELL & SON / STRASBURG. One features a faint stippled band around the middle, as shown. Each measures 7″ to 7 1/2″ in diameter. The slightly larger crock stands 8 1/8 tall. The pair makes a stunning display, and the condition is exceptional. Each crock has very very minor flakes near rim (see close-up pics), with no other chips, nicks, harilines, cracks, or repairs. These ring like a “Bell”.
