Pictured is an early blue & white diffused banded stoneware pitcher available for sale. The earliest of reference books highlighting the pitcher, Edith Harbin’s book from the 70’s, nicknamed the banded design as the “Stupid” pitcher. The name has stuck since then. The pitcher is seldom seen & exhibits great color, color contrast & eye-appeal. It measures 9 in height & dates from 1905 – 1925. It’s in excellent condition with a very slight abrasion on the interior rim, see Pic. A beautiful, colorful pitcher for your collection…. This item is in the category “Antiques\Primitives”.
