Rare Early Burley-Winter 8 Stoneware Pitcher, Powder Blue Swan Relief

It’s in fabulous condition! The only damage I found is a small chip on the spout which I’ve shown up close. There’s faint crazing around the rim and on the interior and I’ve also shown a few imperfections in the glaze that happened in the firing process. The Burley and Winter Pottery Company was a great American pottery company that started its business in 1872 and it lasted until the mid 1930s. Burley-Winters early items included functional stoneware utility vessels, such as thunder mugs, chamber pots, slop buckets, tankards, cuspidors, poultry fountains, chick feeders, pitchers and bowls, jugs, and crocks. Many of their early pieces are unmarked, such as this one. Some of their customers would have been farmers, florist shops, creameries, dairies, chemical companies, Kresges department store. 8 1/8″ tall x 5 3/4″ diameter base x 7 34 wide from spout to handle weighs 4 lbs 2 oz.
