Colonial Tavern Pitcher with Pewter Top. Late 1700’s – 1810 Probably Eastern New York. Incised Salt Glazed Medium Size: 15 & 1/4 Tall. Fan or Shell Pattern Across Center of Ovoid & Pattern top. Hand Turned with Fingerprints very visible on Pour Lip. No cracks on body. Air bubble near inside base handle & air bubble on right side (photo #7 & #10). Two chips on top where metal top comes down (please see photo #4 & #11). Pewter thumb handle broke off. Eat piece & rare find. Hasn’t been on market in 40 yrs.
