Authentic Blue and white salt glazed stoneware pitcher with Indian / Native American design. Century, tankard-form pitcher decorated on both sides with a raised bust of an American Indian in headdress. Surrounded by a square-patterned background. I see online attribution to maker Clay City, which has been manufacturing in Indiana since 1885. Condition: Excellent giftable condition. No visible crazing or discoloration. Paint intact with good color and without scratches or erosion. No chips, flakes, breaks, mends, repairs, cracks, hairlines, blemishes, or mentionable boo-boo’s. Don’t feel anything amiss when I run finger around edges. Spout to handle 8. Base has 5.75 diameter. Indian head medallion on side has 4 diameter. Unpacked weight: 3 Lb. Note some photos appear redundant because I take photos from all possible angles. On symmetrical items, these photos may appear redundant when there are no distinguishing differences or condition issues between side views. All dimensions and weights approximate. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition – this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment.
