I have for sale an antique rare 19th century stoneware script jug. Boot and Shoe Machinery, Leather and Findings, 415-417 Arch Street, Philadelphia. Overall the jug is in good condition. The only thing I really notice is the small chip around the lip that also has a small hairline running off of it. The hairline only goes to the bottom of the neck where it turns into the body of the jug. Also, just for clarification, that is not a crack in the (17th) photo above, but just a discoloration line. Height 7 (Diameter at Base). The other couple examples I have found of George A. Smith script jugs had the stoneware attributed to Richard Remmey. Nice rare jug in good collectors condition. Nice and bright blue script with almost no smudging / fading. I have provided nearly (60) Photos in the body of the listing below to give you a thorough view. If you have any questions, and/or need more photos, please send me a message.
