Antique Stoneware Bird Figural Top Cover Butter Cheese Dish Weller? Stunning early antique cheese or butter dish. Made of stoneware in a spiral pattern with a wonderful greenish brown drip glaze. There is a maker mark of “W” or “LJ” on the edge of the bottom plate. The top is a wonderful dome with a bird figural as the handle – in excellent condition! The bottom plate has the same glaze with the maker mark and there is one small chip on the top edge. The bottom dish measures 6 3/4 in diameter. Overall height is approximately 6. Overall weight is 1 lb 10 oz. Please look at the enlarged pictures as part of description/condition for anything I might have missed. All items from a non-smoking, no pet home.
