This is a PAIR Antique 19thC Folk Art Spaniel Dogs Sewer Tile copy of Staffordshire Pottery. Maybe of OHIO origin. It is very rare to find these in a pair. I think regional potters made molds from actual Staffordshire pieces and cast these. The molded piece was then enhanced by the pottery scratch emphasizing the lines of the statue. They Wonderful – crude detail and pleasing glaze with a glaze misses in the finish. While one is in good condition the other has a “no-show” break/crack in the base. Each Measures 5″ long x 2.5″ wide x 6.75 tall. Fair condition with molded roughness. Please see all photos.
