Pictured is a quite striking short blue & white stoneware Cattail pitcher offered for sale. The short pitcher has great embossed detail & four (4) wide, deep cobalt blue vertical bands. The bands are often referred to as watermelon stripes. By collectors, an very uncommon decoration. It measures 6 7/8 in height & dates from 1905 – 1925. It’s in excellent condition with no nicks or repairs whatsoever. There is an exceedingly faint 1 1/2 hairline on the interior rim, thru, felt but not seen on exterior side, see last Pic, 12 o’clock.
