Pictured is a small blue & white spongeware Grandmother’s Maple Syrup jug available for sale. The jug exhibits a very dark cobalt blue decoration with an eye-appealing dense uniform sponging. The jug measures but 5 1/4″ in height, 4 1/8″ in base diameter, & dates from 1891 – 1910. It’s in excellent condition with no nicks, damage or repairs. It is elaborately embossed on the underside with the maker’s mark MFG’D BY F. WEEKS – STYLE XXX – PAT. PENDING – AKRON, O.
