Fine Cowden and Wilcox Harrisburg, Pa Stoneware Jug Tulip
The item for sale is a excellent Cowden and Wilcox Jug with Tulip decoration. The item has a small chip on the top lip, a small 3/4 sliver type chip on the base rim (in the front of the jug) there a very tight and small line to the left base rim of the decoration. It starts on the side rim of the jug and goes slightly just under to the base. Very small and tight as shown in the pics. The jug has for some reason a lot of coal in it. The top rim has coal still in it and chipped the rim as shown. This could have blown out in the making. There are other pieces of coal on the jug. The is a sliver type chip next to a spot of coal under the jug. This is a excellent unrestored estate find jug. I try to make sure all items of the piece is inspected so there are no surprises. Even the smallest mark. It does display well. It is about a 1 gallon in size at 10 7/8 tall. Check the pictures they are the best description.
