Early Sponged Yellow Ware Boston Baked Bean Pot Stoneware
Pictured is an early sponged yellow ware Boston baked bean pot offered for sale. The bean pot is decorated with both olive green & tan “Smoke Ring” designs over the entire surface & is embossed with diagonal bands near the base. It measures 5 1/4 in height & dates from 1895 – 1920. It’s in excellent condition with a small sliver seen on the interior rim, see 1st Pic at 1 o’clock. No other nicks, damage or repairs. The bean pot holds slightly short of two quarts volume. The opening measures 3 5/8 diameter. The internal diameter, ID, is 4 1/4. This item is in the category “Antiques\Primitives”.
