Blue White Stoneware Bristol Glaze Cherry Cluster & Basketweave 7 pitcher early 1900’s. I have the 9 tall mate to this pitcher also listed. Just bring up my for sale list and it’ll be there for you. I’m very sorry but no exceptions. Guaranteed old, original, and as described. My descriptions are subjective and based solely on my observations which may differ from yours. So, please, carefully review the photos and ask all the questions you like, this sale is final unless there’s a gross misrepresentation. Here’s a 7 inch tall pitcher with a background of woven willow stems and a center decoration of embossed cherries, stems, and leaves. This mold is so very close to first mold. All details, woven willow canes and center decorations are exceptionally clear, bold, and without smudges or streaks. It could benefit from a bath, especially inside bottom, I’ll reserve this joy for the new owner. There is a short factory caused line in the top rim, pretty much fired close with glaze running into it. The only post-production issue I can find is a 1/4 inch line in top rim right next to the spout, inside only, not outside. There are a few of the weensy skips and pinpoint glaze pops so commonly found in the early 1900’s Midwest stoneware production. It looks as if it was never or very sparingly used! Other than the very short line described, I find nothing, absolutely nothing in this 100 year old pitcher that can be construed as chips, flakes, cracks, lines, slobbers, goobers, boogers, bumps, slimes, or repairs, for all intents and purposes, it is as factory made. Hull pitcher is every bit as lovely and functional as the day it was made and it displays really well, certain to be a terrific conversation piece! Overall this lovely piece would be an excellent addition to any collection of quality blue & white stoneware. It’s really a very special piece! The Cherry Cluster & Basketweave pitcher is discussed and illustrated on page 30 of the 1996 (2001) Collector’s Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware. Terry Taylor and Terry & Kay Lowrance.
