Antique 2 Gallon Pittsburg Pottery Company Diamond Brand Stoneware Earthenware Crock with a Cobalt Blue #2. Made in the 1800’s. The diameter is approximately 9 inches. Cobalt Blue Numeral “2” is in a triangle with some letters and smudges that reads “Pittsburg Kansas”. There are some spots of cobalt blue on crock that were placed or dripped on during the manufacturing process. The crock is sturdy and clean with no cracks but there are a few chips on the bottom of the base and around the outer rim (shown in photos). There must have been some imperfections during the glazing process resulting in some stripes in the glaze (Shown in photo). This makes the crock more interesting. This item is in the category “Antiques\Primitives”. The seller is “beatt001″ and is located in this country: US.
