Pictured is a very small, miniature Rockingham glazed yellow ware preserve jar offered for sale. It’s certainly the smallest of sizes seen through the years, holding approximately a half pint in volume. It has great eye-appeal with. A tortoise shell coloration. The slender body has a pinched neck for grasping & a flared rim. It measures 4 3/8 in. Height, 3 1/8 in base diameter, & dates from 1860 – 1885. It’s in excellent condition with two tiny nicks at the base. & some four small slivers on the underside footer, perhaps two of which were the result of a kiln tear.
