American Stoneware Water Cooler. With gorgeous cobalt spongeware design! Reminiscent of cottony clouds against an azure summer sky, this heavy, stoneware water cooler is downright dreamy! This two-gallon crock is likely from the late 1800s or early 1900s and is exceptionally well-preserved! Featuring a brilliant, shining overglaze and wonderful aged patina, this crock retains its original metal spigot and gasket! Perfect for display, this piece is full of charm and charisma! This piece is unsigned but is likely American made from the turn of the 20. The piece is likely from the East Coast or Midwest. This stoneware crock is in EXCELLENT condition! The crock shows little wear and the overglaze is bright and cheery! The gaskets are cracked and may or may not hold water. The surface has some nicks and filled dings that, in my opinion, enhance its presentation. There is a nick to the side that has a hairline that runs to the top lip of the vessel, as shown in the last photo. Approximate Volume Held: 2 Gallon Length with Spigot: 14.5 in Height: 9.5 in.
