Pictured is a seldom, infrequently seen blue on blue spongeware pitcher offered for sale. The tapered pitcher has great color contrast & eye–appeal with an irregular, but repetitive sponged pattern. It measures 8 3/4″ in height, 5 7/8″ in base diameter, & dates from 1880 – 1915. It’s in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. As seen, there are two small shallow flakes on the underside footer, inmanufacture. An attractive, beautiful spongeware pitcher, hopefully you like blue!
