Pictured is an early salt glazed blue decorated stoneware canner/wax sealer available for sale. The freehand canner is decorated with a cherry or cherries on stem design & is attributed to southeastern Ohio. It measures 10″ in height, 6 1/4″ in base diameter, & dates from 1860 – 1885. It’s in near perfect condition. Under close inspection there is an extremely fine 4″ hairline at the rim & a fine 3/4″ hairline, both are on the side close to the handle. Both are essentially unnoticeable & are seen or detected with just the right lighting & the right slant of the canner. Both can be felt, but are not easily seen. Unusual to see a “handled” canner. A quite decorative jar for your fruit canner collection…. Please visit, as well, our other listings of early blue decorated stoneware, and thanks in advance. This item is in the category “Antiques\Primitives”. The seller is “tebfam044″ and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
