Pictured is an extra large blue & grey storage, cake crock offered for sale. The Flemish ware covered crock was produced by Robinson Clay Products Company (RCPC) in Akron, Ohio during 1905 – 1928. The front side is stenciled S. 1831/1894 – BOSTON – BROOKLINE. The advertisement commemorated the company’s initial establishment in 1831 in Boston & a new location in adjacent Brookline, MA. The central logo has a shield with a lion & an eagle with outstretched wings above. The crock is heavily embossed with a grape, vintage design around the border & a large, elaborate design on the backside. The embossing is sharp & crisp. There are two different small elves or gnomes on each side of the logo. This is perhaps the first complete, covered Pierce advertising crock I’ve seen. It measures 6″ in overall height & 9 1/2″ in diameter, a hefty crock. It’s in excellent condition with no nicks, damage or repairs whatsoever. Seen on the cover’s underside on the inner rim is a small inmanufacture air bubble pop. A substantial & infrequently seen decorated crock…. This item is in the category “Antiques\Primitives”. The seller is “tebfam044″ and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
