Pictured is a small one gallon stoneware advertising merchant jar offered for sale. The blue decorated jar is stenciled THE Q. – WHOLESALE DEALERS IN GENERAL MERCHANDISE — 55 – 59 WABASH AVE. The jar measures 9 1/8″ in height, 6 1/2″ in base diameter, & dates from 1870 – 1895. It’s in excellent condition with a single thumb nail size chip on the backside exterior rim.
