ANTIQUE HALF GALLON STONEWARE SALT GLAZE PITCHER. This circa 1870 stoneware pitcher, with a variable color gray salt glaze, holds one half gallon and measures 9″ tall with a diameter of 4-3/4″- 5″ at the top, 5″ on the bottom, and weighs just over 3 pounds. It features an applied side handle, a clear salt glaze on the interior, a hand shaped pour spout and potter finger grooves visible inside. It is in good used condition showing no chips, cracks or hairlines, but there are some minor nicks on the top rim and some firing pops and flaws on the exterior sides. A very nice piece of late 19th century stoneware! THANKS FOR VISITING LANE’S COUNTRY LARK! This item is in the category “Antiques\Primitives”.
