An impressive Doulton Lambeth, Pate Sur pate decorated vase, likely to have been made for the Royal Society of British Arts exhibition Circa 1883, beautifully hand decorated with a Seagull group scene which covers the entire body, in a pate sur pate technique which covers the entire body. Hand decorated by Florance Barlow with the borders be decorated by Lucy Barlow. Incised signature of Florence Barlow as shown. This piece is largest enough to be used as a floor vase. H- 54.0 cm, 540 mm. Condition: Excellent condition- displays wonderfully. Highly decorative and oozes quality. Some minor firing ground wears and there has been professional restoration to the foot rim where it had two chips, which is now virtually impossible to see.
