Antique STONEWARE BATTER JUG CROCK with Swinging Handle & Cobalt Blue Accenting

Antique Stoneware Batter Crock/Jug. Presented for your consideration is this neat antique stoneware batter crock (or jug). The jug has a natural brown-grey coloration with cobalt blue coloring where the handle meets the crock, the molded in handle and the spout. The spout measures 1 1/2″ in diameter and sticks out of the crock about 2″. The crock has a molded in handle at the bottom of the back to help stabilize the jug when the contents are being poured. The crock is finished with a metal and wood swinging handle that easily moves back and forth. Interior of the crock is painted dark brown. Finished with a smooth glaze. Guaranteed to be old. This neat crock would make a great addition to any stoneware, crock or primitive item collection! No lid or stopper is included. There is a chip in the rim of the spout. A hairline crack and small chip are on the top edge. A spot of discoloration is on the side. Typical light to mild age and use wear. Overall in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the best details. Measures 8″ from the tip of the spout to the back edge, 7″ in diameter excluding the handle and spout, 12″ tall (8 3/4″ tall excluding the handle).
