Rare and beautiful alkaline glazed signed merchant advertising sand mountain pottery pitcher. Hall was a well documented general store owner/entrepreneur in Collinsville. Very few signed merchant pieces exist. This one is great as OL Hall is known and his history researchable. There is another signed Hall piece, but its Signature is in script/scratched in. This example uses the standard block lettering used by EE McPherson in his duck springs and boaz stamps.. There is a chip & sliver on the spout and glaze wear on handle, otherwise no other chips, repairs, or damage to the piece.
