This is a mid 1800’s STRIPER Canner Crock or Jar from Western PA. It is large for a canner jar, and measures 8 1/4 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches across the bottom, and 4 1/4 inches across the top rim. It has 3 Cobalt Stripes: 2 wide Cobalt Stripes – one just under the top lip, and the other at the bottom, and the third one is a narrow wavy one across the front. There are two small flakes on the canner ring (See Photos). Otherwise no cracks, hairlines, or chips. Color variation from firing (See Photos).
