This rare large French covered yellow ware terrine or casserole is in excellent condition , quite amazing for its age which is about 200 years old. The lid fits snuggly and it has hand-done scalloped decorations. There is a very small shallow chip on the rim, no cracks, no hairlines. Small age-appropriate crazing in the interior.
