Antique Bennington VT Glazed Yellow Ware (F)enton Pottery Cow Creamer, 1849-1858

Decorated in an attractive mottled brown glaze over a cream/pale yellow ground. Looping tail forms the handle; open mouth forms the spout. Strong details throughout (ribs, neck folds, udders, hooves, etc). Retains original fitted lid. Raised oval base is impressed F on the underside, as shown. Condition : Left ear tip with some minor nicks (see close-up, photo #6), and small chip on underside of fitted lid; otherwise in Very Good to Excellent condition.
