AGE/COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : late 1800’s early 1900’s Southeast USA. CONDITION REPORT : Very nice antique condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. It does have firing defects such as tags, glaze bubbles and bubble popos, a few potted spots, one spot were it looks like it was touching another pot in the firing process [see pictures] It shows little to no signs of use. MEASUREMENTS : 5 gallon / 19″ tall x 12″ wide. Item offered is a wonderful antique Ohio tan and brown transitional glaze 5 gallon stoneware beehive jug. It has one applied handle and a 5 printed on one side. It is in very nice condition with only firing defects which is typical for primitive utilitarian stoneware pieces. It is a thick heavy jug with a nice glaze color combination. Came from an estate in East Tennessee.
