ANTIQUE CHINESE SHIWAN POTTERY JAR. The featured item represents an antique Chinese Shiwan pottery jar that measures approximately 6″ tall, 3″ across the top and 4 3/8 across the bottom. The jar has a hexagonal shape and is finished in green-turquoise glaze. Each side is decorated with molded scene, depicting figures, animals, tress and text but the thick glaze makes them hard to distinguish. The bottom is marked with raised characters. The jar comes in overall good condition for its age. Quite a few production flaws and imperfections. Small chips along the neck and the opening. Other wear like scuffs, marks and scratches.
