Edgefield South Carolina Pottery Baynham 2 Gallon Stoneware Churn. This is a great survivor churn by Joseph Gregory Baynham it measures 12 1/2″ tall and 8″ wide. It is a very uncommon size being a 3 gallon you do nit see many of these around. This one does have a bunch of “fire pops” near the base which means basically the clay had a bunch of quartz or rock that blew out when it was fired. Other than the fire pops at the base and one small rim chip it has no other issues or repairs. It also has the orignal wooden churn top, this is a nice extra! It is a true survivor and a piece of Edgefield history, get it while you can. If you have any questions just ask!
