Here is a r. Are Charles Graham salt glazed stoneware jug decorated with a hunting scene including dogs, a hunter on horseback, and deer all etched into the glaze with acid. Graham Chemical Pottery Works was located in Greenpoint Brooklyn New York and was in business from 1878 to 1913. He patented this decorating technique in 1885. There are pieces in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum. 7 1/4 inches tall and 5 1/8 inches in diameter at the widest. The condition is excellent with only a small u. Kiln kiss on the side, some. Grinding chips on the bottom and no cracks, breaks, or repairs. Marked with a die-stamped Charles Graham Pat. 1885 on the bottom. A rare piece of 19th century American art pottery.
