A STUNNING’MINTON’ #19 – 1822 TO 1836 ANTIQUE BACCHUS & SILENUS with CENTAURS DARK GREEN MAJOLICA VERY LARGE WINE JUG / PITCHER. THE DETAIL AND DEFINITION IN THIS SCULPTED WITH HIGH RELIEF WINE JUG / PITCHER IS SUPERB. ONE SIDE HAS A YOUNG MAN SUPPORTED ON EACH SIDE BY TWO YOUNG CENTAURS AS HE IS ASTRIDE A JACKASS. THE OPPOSITE SIDE HAS AN OLDER MAN BEING SUPPORTED ON HIS LEFT AND RIGHT BY TWO OLDER CENTAURS. THE BACKGROUND HAS GRAPES, VINES AND LEAVES WITH A WONDERFUL WAVY RIM AND TWISTED VINE BRANCH HANDLE.
