This listing is for an Old Vintage 19th Century American Salt Glaze Stoneware Crock / Storage Canning Jar. It is a nice 7 tall small size. It is Hand Thrown and you can see and feel the ribs inside and out. It has a thickly applied dark Cobalt Blue Decoration with 3 Swag Leaf Designs around top. Not sure of maker or exact age. Possibly from Pennsylvania since that’s where I acquired it. It is in great condition overall with no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. There is one chip on the bottom (photo 11), but is barely noticeable when displayed (photo 12). No other damage or issues that I can find. Top rim is perfect! Very clean in and out! Please view the photos carefully as they are my main description. It is pretty thick and heavy for its size weighing 2.5 lbs before packing and will be securely packaged and double boxed. It measures 7 1/8″ tall, about 4 3/8″ across top rim with a 3 1/2″ opening, and 4 7/8″ at the base.
