Rare Antique MID 18th Century Wedgwood Black Basalt Broad Rimmed Large Bowl
RARE WEDGWOOD BLACK BASALT LARGE STONEWARE BOWL. Founded in1759 by Josiah Wedgwood. Back mark suggests this was one of the early pieces. Black Basalt is stoneware unglazed. This bowl has a broad rim. Making it a great centrepiece. Diameter of rim 14.25 (36 cm). Height 3 (7.5 cm). No chip or cracks. One quirky thing to note is the bowl is not perfectly level.
