A particularly scarce mid to late 18th century Staffordshire pottery food mold. White salt glaze stoneware body. Probably dating right around 1760. This diminutive mold has a finely molded strawberry or other sort of berry design and would have been used for a small jelly or fruit paste dessert. Measuring only 3 long this beautiful little example would make a great addition to any early British ceramic collection. Size: 3″ by 2 1/2″ and 1 1/2 deep. No chips or cracks.
